Sometime in August I was walking home and came across a rally in a park and met Eyad there. He had a megaphone.

Her artwork was in a movie theater I like to go to.

Grimm was hanging out around the corner from where I live. I was looking for someone like him in Albany.

My interest initially was to contact someone from a specific troll community. A follower of that community directed me to a friend of his that is now retired from trolling.

Larry was the first person I had hoped to interview. I met him in August of 2013 and he had me hold a pigeon. I regret that I did not get a drawing from him for the album artwork.

I became aware of Shishaldin through one of my favorite podcasts. We mention the host of the show a few times during the interview. We met on a rainy day.

I found John online through his YouTube videos and his church’s web site. He has his street address and phone number public. While I was visiting my father in Florida, I realized he lived 15 miles away. I got in touch with him the day before meeting.

At the age of 16, I attempted my first professional interview. My grandfather told amusing stories a night or so before the recording over drinks. He passed in June 2011.

I kept pausing the recording so I could ask questions. Back then, I didn’t like the sound of my voice. At the 13 minute mark I switched the speed of the recording device. I abruptly ran out of tape and continued another 4 minutes on the other side.
